2. What’s your reason for joining TSM Korea instead of any other study missions?
South Korea is recognized as the world’s top ranking technology market by the UN. It amazes me that how South Korea is able to rise up the technology ranking by so much within the past 2 years and slowing closing up the gap between them and the technology giants United States and Japan. With TSM providing me with this opportunity to understand how the technology in South Korea market is like, I am more than excited to be part of this study mission and immerse myself in the South Korea culture!
3. Tell us something interesting about the company you are in charge of for TSM
The company I am in charge of is Ideabove. They are a small startup consisting of a 7 men team. But what is interesting is how all of them have a special inclination to music and how some of them have worked/ developed similar applications that it related to the music industry as well.
4. Why did you choose your company out of so many start-ups in Japan/Korea?
We tried to contact many other startups in Korea but the connections with them either got lost or they rejected the offer. Ideabove was glad to host us and share with us their start up experiences. The application they created (Bonosound) is also rather interesting and I am very interested in how they are using a music cloud to make money. Their business model is something I would like to know more.
5. What is the biggest thing that you wish to achieve out of this TSM?
Learning about Korea and Japan working culture and gain some insights on starting up businesses in Korea and Japan.
