2. What’s your reason for joining TSM Korea instead of any other study missions?
South Korea is among the world’s most technologically advanced and digitally-connected countries. Even traditional family operated small businesses that are usually resistant to change are slowly going digital, providing more advanced services. That explains a lot about the technological progress in South Korea, and definitely a place I can gain lots of insight from. It will also be a fun time learning from like-minded people who are passionate or have experiences in start-ups.
3. Tell us something interesting about the company you are in charge of for TSM
Despite MEMEbox being an e-commerce beauty retailer, it was founded by 4 guys!
4. Why did you choose your company out of so many start-ups in Japan/Korea?
My team chose BnBHero and MEMEbox. BnBHero because start-ups in the travel industry are relevant to us and something we can relate closely to. MEMEbox was chosen because their success story in such a short time and with limited startup capital interest me. Besides, Korea is known for their beauty products, therefore, it would be good to visit a startup related to it!
5. What is the biggest thing that you wish to achieve out of this TSM?
Picking up valuable skills and experiences from these successful entrepreneurs and hoping that it will aid me to create a startup of my own in the future. Lastly, it’s all about having fun with the class throughout the TSM journey!
