2. What’s your reason for joining TSM Korea instead of any other study missions?
Korea has been a country which has preserved its traditional culture and historical buildings well. Yet at the same time, Korea has positioned herself well as the technology hub in Asia.
The recent growth of South Korea based companies like Samsung has propelled Korea into the world’s limelight in the technology field. As such, it would be a great opportunity to be able to learn from these companies on how they manage to position and differentiate themselves among the other companies.
3. Tell us something interesting about the company you are in charge of for TSM
Both Wantedly and Trippiece are startups in fields where there are existing big players. One thing that’s particularly interesting about these companies is the ability for them to resist the “threat” posed by existing companies and rise in Japan.
4. Why did you choose your company out of so many start-ups in Japan/Korea?
I am curious and interested to know and learn how Wantedly and Trippiece differentiate themselves and attract their user base in Japan.
5. What is the biggest thing that you wish to achieve out of this TSM?
I wish to understand the business considerations and decisions made when the companies started and eventually grow till what they are right now. I would like to learn about the challenges they’ve faced since founded.
