Family Introduction #1 – Agurz

With 20 days left to our Technopreneurship Study Mission (TSM), we will now begin introducing the members of TSM family one by one! Through this introduction, we hope to let the rest of the class, as well as those who are following our Facebook page and blog understand more about our family, as well as the rationale behind choosing the companies that we will be visiting!

The first person we will be introducing will be Agurz, who is like an elder brother and unofficial class monitor for the rest of us!

1. Describe yourself with three words

Entertainer, Extrovert, Loyal

2. What’s you reason for joining TSM Korea instead of any other study missions?

Technology is in this era helps to place business process in a better position in order to bring value to the company. With improved business process with the aid of technology, I aim to understand and take part in small startup about how their innovation is able to bring a change to the world.

3. Tell us something interesting about the company you are in charge of for TSM.

Flitto is an online translator that works by crowd-sourcing the translations from other online users. This is something that sets them apart from the other translator app. Furthermore, it allows users to earn money while translating!

4. Why did you choose your company out of so many start-ups in Japan/Korea?

Although Flitto is a young start-up that has been around for less than three years, they have the ambition to challenge Google Translate. As such, I am highly interested in understanding their driving factor as well as the values they believe in to achieve their ambitions.

5. What is the biggest thing that you wish to achieve out of this TSM?

I had the opportunity of listening to many young entrepreneurs share their experiences regarding the start of their business as well of some of the obstacles they’ve faced. However, these are mostly shared by friends that are based in Singapore, and there is the disadvantage of not being able to experience their company culture. With this TSM, I wish to experience the culture of a young start-up, as well as understand the values they hold close to heart.
